Interviews: Vo' Devil Stokes

In this new occassion we have had the pleasure to interview the Electronic Rock/Post-Hardcore band Vo' Devil Stokes, from Russia. Check out this band because they are amazing and do not forget to follow them in their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

We really like Marilyn Manson and do you know he has a Vodevil song? That’s where it all began.  

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We searched for a long time, at first we were playing very heavy music but over time we realized that we wanted to be more melodic and a beautiful group! I myself was very tired of the same type of music.  

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Alex Mallovski and I are founders of this group. We lived in nearby towns in Siberia, we were playing in different bands but then fate brought us together and so this group was born.  

4. Each band member favourite band?  

We all love the exact same music, some of our inspirations are NINE INCH NAILS, LINKIN PARK, SEVENDUST, and AMATORY.  

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

With all of our songs, we would like to connect with something larger than life, assume an infinite universe but often we put a simple everyday meaning.  

6. Where was your last gig?  

The last concert was Moscow, and then we hung out with Architects. It was cool dude!  

7. Where would you like to act?  

Our dream is to travel around the US!  

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Nine Inch Nails  

9. Whom not?  

We are open to play with everyone!  

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Yes, of course! It’s a integral part of our lives. A couple of shots of vodka before the show will make you into a super star!  

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

The first Linkin Park album and Sevendust.  

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

One of the guys at the concert asked to sleep with his girlfriend of course I refused.  

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We are grateful for everyone! Everyone should know that if it were not for them we wouldn’t be here.
