Interviews: Remembrance

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore  band Remembrance, from Sweden. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? You planned it or came out just like that?

When Oskar and Nicke started this band they started throwing some names

around and came up with 'Remembrance'. We are all happy with it since we

want people to listen to our music and come to our shows and remember us.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We changed our sound alot for about 6 months when the band got started but

when we tried the sound we have now the songs started writing themselves!

We knew right away that we had found our sound.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all played in different bands before Remembrance and met each other when

our older bands played together here in Gothenburg. Max (drums) and Fredrik

(guitar) play in another band together and Jon (guitar), Oskar (vocals) and

Nicke (bass) have played together in previous bands

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jon: Deftones

Max: Parkway Drive

Oskar: Invent,Animate

Nicke: Architects

Fredrik: Parkway Drive

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We all get inspired by eachother. It's kind of the chemistry of the band!

When someone is happy or pumped at rehearsals or in the studio everyone

else gets on the same level.

6. Where was your last gig?

We have not played our first gig yet. We want to get the EP out first so

people can listen in on the songs and then have a great first gig.

7. Where would you like to act?

Basicly anywhere! We want our music to take us out on the road to see the

world.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be cool to play with bands that we are inspired by! We are pretty

much open to any collaboration with anyone since you always learn new

things when you meet new people

9. Whom not?

That's a tough question. We are very open minded but it would be weird

playing with a band that plays a whole different kind of music.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners? 

Know your songs well and practise your liveshow at rehearsals. Ask your friends to film concerts and watch them back. Remember that the crowd feeds of your energy so if you stand still they will also stand still and that's not any fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Our biggest inspirations are Invent,Animate, Breakdown of Sanity and In hearts wake! All three are some of our favorite bands and they are just so talented musicians.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Well we all have our different stories, some weirder than other but nothing too bizarre. Signing girls tits is pretty weird but still cool.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

The response we've had for our singles is overwhelming. We couldn't be happier with our fans. They are our motivation and the reason we do what we do.

14. What do you think of our site? 

It's really great! The time you put in to help new bands like us is very apprectiated!
