Interviews: Anti-Hero

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Post-Hardcore/Cross Over band Anti-Hero, from Italy. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name Anti-Hero represents our need to go against all the monotony of a society that imposes you the idea of the typical "hero".

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We play this genre 'cause it has a bit of everything. From melodic and sorts riffs to the heavy breakdowns and from a clean voice to screams and growls. So this genre is perfect for us to extern our hate towards the society but at the same time our love for our close ones.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Lucca is a small city so we knew each other in some way or another. But we surely had time to know each other better and end up being just 5 friends with a common love for music.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Starting with Cristian (guitarist) he definitely loves Deftones. Alessio (drummer) listens every day to August Burns Red. Emanuel (guitarist) bangs his head to A Day To Remember. Shawn (singer) got into this genre with Asking Alexandria. Duccio (bass guitar) loves apparently Baby Metal.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

There isn't someone or something particularly that inspires us. Our songs come out from a mix of everything we feel during the week and when we rehearse we bring it all out.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was on the 30th of December at Porcari at an event called "Metal beer pong fest" organized by Panic.0nnections and hosted by Patatrak.

7. Where would you like to act?

It doesn't actually matter where, because we would like to go all over the world playing gigs and living only with our music. But if we really have to pick we would say England as a start.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

The band that we would like to feature with most is A Day To Remember.

9. Whom not?

With Gigi d'alessio.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Quite all of us suffer from stage fright, who more and who less, but once on the stage all that fright transforms into energy the we put into making a great show. As for the tip for the beginners, just be confident about yourself and about all that you believe in and get up that stage showing everybody what you're made of!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The bands that inspire us mostly are Papa roach and Underoath.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Well fortunately we didn't really have any weird requests and we hope we're gonna be lucky to continue like this!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans support us and we try to keep all of them not only as fans but also as our friends.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a good social point on the web that points and gives space to underground bands and gives them the chance to express themselves.

15. Something to add?

The only thing we would like to add is some information about our ep that came out recently and some social media where you can find us and follow us, like searching "Anti-Hero" on Facebook, YouTube, as well as Spotify where you can listen to our ep "Snakes & Liars".
