Interviews: Colombian Necktie

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Deathcore band Colombian Necktie, from The Netherlands. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Well, our previous vocalist had interesting hobbies…

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We have played multiple genres but we the outcome was that we all share a mutual interest for agression mixed with more technical riffs so we ended up with this so called mix of deathcore and beatdown.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The band was formed after a weekend in Berlin where we, Geoffrey, Luuk, Sander and Jeremi, went to a concert of Deez Nuts, Madball, First Blood and some other bands. Joeri joined the band after a while and when Geoffrey decided to quit, we found Serge.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Serge: The Acacia Strain.

Luuk: Despised Icon.

Joeri: Falsifier.

Jeremi: Deez Nuts.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Steven Seagal .

6. Where was your last gig?

Gorinchem, the Netherlands with Acranius and Within Destruction.

7. Where would you like to act?

Japan.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I Declare War, to drink beer with those guys backstage.

9. Whom not?

Eskimo Callboy.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We used to, but alcohol and a pair of nuts do the trick.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We all have our own inspirations including the bands named under 4 of course.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

If he could blow us after the show… Nah just kiddin’. No spectacular things happened yet actually.

We love them all.
