Interviews: Late Night Fights

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Late Night Fights, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Late Night Fights was a name I came up with when naming a few other bands I was with and have always wanted to use it. As I wrote more songs about internal and external struggles it was a perfect match.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We all come from metal, punk, and hardcore backgrounds and wanted to do something different, taking our influences to a bigger sound.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I’ve known Daniel for years when our hardcore bands (Blue Ox, A Summary Execution and Quazar) played together. We met Shane through a mutual friend and everything just clicked.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Guanz: Rage Against the Machine

Shane: Rush

Daniel: Nuerosis

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Extreme experiences, good and bad, always create a bunch of energy that doesn’t go away until they’re released in a song.

6. Where was your last gig?

Herman’s Hideaway - Denver, CO

7. Where would you like to play?

It would be rad to play in Japan or South America!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There are so many to list, but I’d personally love to play with Queens of the Stone Age, Thrice, or the Deftones sometime. Refused, System of a Down, and Black Sabbath would kick ass as well.

9. Whom not?

We’d play with anyone, really, even if we don’t like them! I mean exposure is exposure, right?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I never really get stage fright anymore unless my gear starts fucking up at a big gig. You really just have to be well-rehearsed and never let anything stop the set.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

When I used to play with New Medicine I got to tour with a bunch of rad bands and two that always stand out are Halestorm and Stone Sour. They are just extremely humble and appreciative of their fans and their art. It sucks to see how success really fucks people up and they lose touch with the people that allow them to live their dreams.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

This girl’s dad asked me to sign his daughter’s tits. He was a big biker dude and had a really weird grin on his face during the whole process.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the shit! The die hards, the new fans, and the on the fence fans- we love your support and for taking the time to check us out!

14. What do you think of our site?

The site is great! Lots of cool bands, reviews, and interviews. Keep it up!

15. Something to add?

We can’t wait for our new album to drop this Friday! Check out “Renal 911” and let us know where you want us to tour to!
