News: GRIDFAILURE: Aversionline Premieres "Condescender" From Scathed Album Nearing Release Through Darker Days Ahead

Long-running underground music zine Aversionline has premiered a new track from the upcoming Scathed album by New York solo outfit GRIDFAILURE, which will see release in early June through Darker Days Ahead.

Aversionline has issued the track "Condescender," calling it, "a six-minute spread of sinister dark ambient swaths, murky melodies, and vengeful vocal textures..."

Previously-released Scathed track "Gaze Of Aversion" is also playing HERE.

Unloading ten defeating new anthems for hallucinogenic seppuku, GRIDFAILURE's Scathed sees minister of propaganda David Brenner delivering unpredictable wrath through unhinged powerdementia. Paranoia-inducing atmospheres surround punishing vocal torrents, which writhe forth from the rubble of eroded guitars and bass, aneurythmic beats, lunatic keys/synth, theremin, didgeridoo, xylophone, harmonica, and more. With fifty-three minutes of material performed and recorded by Brenner, whose photos/layout complete the record, Scathed is laced with enough stability to keep you engaged while delivering an oppressive sense of dread and impending retribution from a parallel universe. Struggle for survival.

Scathed will see free digital download and handmade CDR through Minneapolis-based Darker Days Ahead on June 2nd; find physical preorders at THIS LOCATION.

Darker Days Ahead also recently issued the diverse Death Season Six compilation which features GRIDFAILURE's "Shallow Epicenter," as well as contributions from Never Presence Forever, Megalophobe, Cory Schumacher, Dusthallowed, Teeth Engraved With The Names Of The Dead, and many others. Download the album for free and buy the limited CD HERE.

GRIDFAILURE released the Hostile Alchemy record at the end of March, and Dendritic, a collaborative album with Megalophobe, at the end of April. Expect a suffocating amount of new material from the outfit to see release alongside live tests of GRIDFAILURE in the months ahead.
