Interview: With Lying Eyes

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band With Lying Eyes, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

We got the idea for the name from an Emery song, "Left With Alibis and Lying Eyes". We just spliced out With Lying Eyes and it stuck.  

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Rock and metal music speaks to me the most out of every genre. The lyrics are great and since I love to crank up distortion on the amp it's the best option. I've been to countless shows and I have the most fun at a rock or metal show.   

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Most of us knew each other before the band started. Jesse, our other guitarist, and Nick, our drummer, are brothers. Dave, our singer, and I grew up in the same neighborhood since we were like two years old. Dylan went to middle and high school with us and we were actually in the same band class for quite a while. He plays sax and I play trumpet.  

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Chris: Alice In Chains 

Dylan: Snarky Puppy 

Jesse: The Story So Far 

Nick: The Story So Far 

David: My Chemical Romance   

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?   

I am mainly inspired by other artists and songs, if I like something a lot I'm inspired to write something just as good. I can also be inspired by things I've read, movies I've seen or life experiences. Sometimes inspiration  comes from jamming with each other or jamming with my guitar students.  

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last gig was at Baltimore Soundstage with a bunch of other local bands. Awesome place to play.  

7. Where would you like to act? 

I would love the chance to play at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. The venue is amazing and the first time I went there it was a fantastic show. I think I saw Parkway Drive and Bring Me The Horizon.   

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

I'd love to play with an old 90s grunge band or one of the early 2000's bands that are still rocking like Alice In Chains or Sevendust.   

9. Whom not? 

I couldn't really say. I'm pretty open for anything!  

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Yes, I'm sure all of us have gotten nervous before a show but that's what makes it even more fun is getting over that anxiety. My tip is to channel that energy into your performance and if you have practiced enough to know your parts than you have nothing to worry about. Always be prepared!   

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

I've been inspired by so many bands, anything from Killswitch Engage, Silverstein, Stone Temple Pilots, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin. I know some of the guys like rap music and pretty progressive metal stuff. Anything with a good guitar and catchy melody is awesome to me!   

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

My girlfriends phone number.  

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They are awesome ! Love you guys.  

14. What do you think of our site?  

I love the site, I'm glad you guys give up and coming bands the opportunity to share a little bit about their band.
