Interviews: Vientos

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Hardcore band Vientos, from Argentina. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

We have  a poetic profile and we like nature stuff in our song names.

Also it is the name of a Fun People song thtat we love since teenagers. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

We believe in hardcore punk values because we have learned some lessons among the road about music, friendship. Also we love to express our emotions and our rage, thats our thing.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Yes we did at first but later we had some member changes, and it has been for the better because we found ver nice people to share all of our projects.

4. Each band member favourite band?

these are a few bands we love: Smashing Pumpkins, Texas Is The Reason, Sunny Day Real Estate, Pearl Jam and Nirvana

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Maybe the most inspirin thing for us is the reality that we live as a society and the unjustice feel that give us rage. The power of poetry and the rage of the uncorformity.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last i believe was opening for Basement at Buenos Aires.

7. Where would you like to act? 

We like to act in every place that we get invited to, mostly if there is good vibes. we have no preferences

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

Well, I guess any friend that we feel like it, we do not worship anyone famous or so.

9. Whom not?

No one who is a fascist I guess!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Well, only experience gives you the sense of security that you need to be on stage. Maybe the best tip is try to do music for the right reasons. Don't do it for acceptance, or pose or belonging to something you are not. Be yourself and you will always be in the right path.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Every 90s band from hardcore punk, emo and grunge

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

We have very respectful fans, hardcore scene is like that. So they did not have asked some weird stuff.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

We feel very grateful with them, their good comments and enthisuasm make us continue with what we do

14. What do you think of our site? 

We think it's great that alternative press sites have some relevance!
