Interviews: Feeding The Enemy

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the Pop Punk band Feeding The Enemy, from Spain. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name has a meaning, it’s all about us, and people in general… basically it’s about how we tend to harm ourselves whenever we´re feeling down, we “feed the enemy” which tends to be ourselves. Most of our songs have something to do with this and we all can pretty much relate. Jorge had the name thought for a separate project and we decided it fit quite well the purpose of the band, so we kept it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Pop-Punk is a genre we´ve all grown up with, we love it, and its through music that we can freely express ourselves…we´ve always gotten the feels through Pop-Punk from bands like Green Day or Blink-182. It was either that or K-pop…cause its fashion… nah, just kidding.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Ab (Drummer) and Jorge had known each other for many years. Jorge wanted to start a pop-punk band and fell in love with Fer´s hair, it was pretty straight forward from there, but no, Fer and Jorge basically met when Jorge contacted him exclusively to form the band through Facebook... Funny how their best friends now

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jorge´s been deeply in love with “Green Day” since he`s a kid but is really into “Neck Deep” right now.

Fermi can’t really make up his mind… so it’s “Transit” For the following couple of days and maybe “Knuckle Puck” last week.

Abraham is really into Jay-Lo, and “Green Day”… mostly “Green Day”.
Julio is a sick “ADTR” fan.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Main songwriting is done by Jorge and Fermi, they are inspired by mostly anything: moods, real life experiences, world conflicts etc…

6. Where was your last gig?

We played a gig in Valencia, Spain which was pretty sick, people there really took it up a notch. We actually made a video you can watch in Youtube (https://youtu.be/TEvmRNoFwmM?t=6m53s )

7. Where would you like to act?

Vans Warped Tour is the dream right now… and getting to know and work with every band there must be pretty sick.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Mark Hoppus… like… he´s the man. He´s basically like our dad.

9. Whom not?

Abraham is a great fan of Jenifer Lopez… but we don’t think we´d feature her in a song at all.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really, no. We´re all pretty confident on stage. If we had to give a tip for beginners, we guess it´d be to stay confident and transform that nervousness into energy. People aren´t waiting to watch you fall, they want to have a good time, and so should you.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

It’s going to have to be Green Day and Blink-182, though we´re really into Neck Deep right now, and are super stoked to see them live in Madrid on November.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for

A guy once asked Fermi to sign his sweaty manboobs after the show…that was weird. But he did!

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are the absolute best, we know every artist says this, but trust us, the legit are the best. We´re not a massive band, we´re not in a massive record label or anything but we get so much support from our followers… it´s impressive. We love you guys (to our fans)

14. What do you think of our site?

You guys rock, we´ve discovered so many cool underground bands on your site… damn. It´d be great if more media did what you guys do. Great job and keep it up!

15. Something to add?
We love pineapple on pizza… well Jorge does but he made us say this and of course if you’re reading this feel free to follow us on any of our social media! We´re about to release an acoustic album and you may want to stay up to date!
