Interviews: Buffalo Go

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Pop Punk   band Buffalo Go, from UK. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Martyn: I was really into Dance Gavin Dance when we were trying to come up with a new name. They have a song called 'Buffalo!' off of their selt titled album. Added the word go, and we had our band name which rolls off the tongue.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Martyn: I grew up playing Tony Hawks games, everybody knows the soundtrack to those games is phenomenal. When modern pop punk started emerging (Wonder Years, The Story So Far Set Your Goals) I fell in love with it straight away. The genre also has lot of energy which translate to live shows, both watching and playing.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Martyn: Hayden and Dave knew each other before from previous bands. I met them online looking for a band whilst I was home for the summer before returning to uni. We met Law through a friend of a friend and hit it off straight away.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Martyn: Four Year Strong

Hayden: I go through a lot of waves on who is my favourite, right now I can't stop listening to Gold Route.

Law: Can't choose, but for nostalgia, blink-182

Dave: The Story So Far, although it changes regularly, for instance right now I'm really into my K-HipHop

George: FACT

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Martyn: Big riffs!

6. Where was your last gig?

Martyn: Last gig was at The Anvil supporting Catch Fire and Frown Upon. Huge line up, both those bands shred hard live!

7. Where would you like to act?

Martyn: Somewhere with a nice big stage. So far we've only had that experience a hand full of times, eager to break out onto bigger stages where we're not bashing into each other.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Dave: I'd love to feature either in Knuckle Puck, or Closure in Moscow

9. Whom not?

Law: There's no one really!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Dave: Yes, especially my earlier days. I'm quite the introvert, so standing in front of a crowd can be quite nerve racking. In regards on how to beat it, for me I actually watched a video of Whitechapel's vocalist Phil Bozeman on how to be a better frontman which brought my confidence way up, now every time before a show I think about that video and take it from there.

Hayden: Think we all have at one time our another. The biggest tip I can give to someone who is playing in a band (sorry solo artists!) is to remember you aren't alone on stage.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Dave: Knuckle Puck, TSSF, Neck Deep, FYS, Abandoned By Bears, CNCC!
Martyn: Four Year Strong, Set You Goals, Seaway. These are bands I fell in love with when I joined the band, and they keep getting better and better. I've gotta keep up somehow.

Hayden: Real Friends, Roam, The Wonder Years

Law: Hotel Books, American Football, Being as an Ocean, Me Vs Hero

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Hayden: Our fans are crazy, nothing they say anymore is weird because we expect it.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Hayden: We love them all and appreciate all the support they've given us.

14. What do you think of our site?

George: Lots of sick bands and interviews to check out.

15. Something to add?

Hope you enjoy the new EP, we've put a lot of hard work into crafting it and are happy to finally be able to share it with everyone
