Interviews: Phrymerial

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the Deathcore/Death Metal band Phrymerial, from Spain. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

We were looking for an original idea, a name that no one else had. With that idea and putting together several letters we decided to call ourselves Phrymerial. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

Because it has all the elements of the different genres we like. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

More or less. We all met Jeshua (drummer) separately before being a band. Franco (frontman) was a friend of his, Alex (bassist) played with him in a previous band and Dany (guitarist) studied with him. 

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Alex: I would say as a favorite artist: Skrillex. As a metal band, I haven’t got a favorite one. 

Dany: Rings of Saturn 

Jeshua: I like too many bands of different styles to choose one. 

Franko: Whitechapel 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

The crazy human mind and all that could happen to us if we don’t take care of the planet and what we have. 

6. Where was your last gig?

In Barcelona, during the tour with Analaepsy and Human Vivisection. Human Ashtray also played with us. It was a chaotic date since we had to change the venue at the last minute, but in the end everything was great. Cheers to Venado Bookings! 

7. Where would you like to act? 

In a extreme festival like brutal assault or in a very big one like hellfest or wacken. 

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

CJ, Jason Evans, Lucas Mann... 

9. Whom not? 

Oliver Sykes 

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? 

No, if we played with any big band we would get a little nervous, but not frightened. 

Any tips for beginners on how to beat that? 

If the practice goes well, at the stage you will be as good or even better. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Old school bands like Decapitated, Nile, Suffocation... and new bands like Carnifex, Rings of Saturn... 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

If we can play a punk rock song in an extreme metal show hahaha

We love that there are sites that help to promote bands, so we love it! 

15. Something to add? 

We are happy with our progress . “The Human Cleansing” has been well received by the audience and that makes us happy. But we are working to be on another level, with new material and new things for our fans. We will introduce you our new guitarist very soon!
