News: The Plague celebrate adversity on new single "Make Me Over"

Rochester-based "Futurepunk" band The Plague's debut album Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will arrive on October 13th, but they've partnered with Hysteria Mag to premiere the new single "Make Me Over." The pulsating rock track is about how life can throw you curveballs that expose your weaknesses and help you grow.
Frontman/producer David Adam Monroe says "Sometimes the hardest thing to do in difficult times is celebrate the wisdom that you're getting from the situation. This song is about celebrating forces beyond your control guiding you to being a better person. In my life, all the best things that happened to me, whether it be my relationships with friends and family or perspective that I've gotten overtime, have been a result of things that I didn't plan. When I take a step back, I can appreciate the pain that I've been through in my life and I thank god for it."
Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E will be released via Recover Records, a label owned and operated by the band themselves. Monroe is no stranger to the business side of music, producing records alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson), and serving as an A&R rep for Victory and Torque records. Before that, Monroe led the band Third Estate who appeared on Warped Tour from 02-06 and toured with many established acts such as Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and My Chemical Romance.
After 20 years in the music industry, Monroe sought to create a project that would spread a message of hope, and to rebel against these growing self-destructive ideals. “In the early days, most of my experience in the music industry seemed plastic and fake. Every time I got involved in something that seemed like it was going to take off, I was very concerned about the situation. Music is important to me, but so is being kind and loving. I didn’t feel I could make the world a better place with those opportunities, whereas working in a basement on this record has already done more for me spiritually than any work in the past." says Monroe
"Make Me Over" is available now on iTunes.
