» » News: Life Lessons Debut Video for "Attention To Detail"; Dates with Real Friends Kick Off Nov 17

Oklahoma City’s Life Lessons, fresh off a tour supporting Four Year Strong, are going back out on the road opening for Real Friends in the midwest starting next week.
The band is also debuting a new music video for their song “Attention To Detail,” off their recently released EP 'Best When In Motion' on You Did This/Triple Crown Records.
Bassist Andrew Wasson says, "For this video, we wanted to do something a little light-hearted and we wanted to really enjoy making the video. We got some our friends to help us out and tried to have fun filming it, and hopefully, that comes through when people watch it. The video is for the first single off of our new EP called Best When In Motion."

Rock Sound raves, "Oklahoma's Life Lessons bring a whole load of punk pace and grit on new EP...taking in killer dual-vocals and more than a nod to the classics of the genre."

Best When In Motion' is available for purchase at http://smarturl.it/Life_Lessons.
'Best When In Motion' was produced by Brett Romnes (I Am The Avalanche, Free Throw, SOMOS) at Barbershop Studios and is the follow up to the band's previously self-released EP’s 'I Know What I’m Not' and 'What The Silence Meant.'

After self-releasing two EPs and cutting their teeth on the road, Oklahoma-based Life Lessons entered the studio in June of 2017 with producer Brett Romnes to work on their third EP and first with Triple Crown/You Did This. The result is 5 songs that capture the progression of a band that spent months on the road in the previous year. The band went into the studio hoping to capture the authenticity and energy of their live show and intentionally approached the record with a more raw sound in mind.
Life Lessons draws influence from their pop-punk and emo contemporaries, but also from older bands such as Taking Back Sunday and Northstar. The new EP explores the interaction between these influences and expresses it through high energy choruses and quieter contemplative moments. The band hopes their new EP cements their place in the genre while simultaneously carving out a place of their own.
