Interviews: Fractured Frames

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metalcore band Fractured Frames, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

As our current lineup we actually just inherited the name, it was originally inspired by an Oceano song.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We all love the energy of this style of music. We feel like there is a lot of room for us to express ourselves and grow as musicians, because nothing is really off limits. We all like to put a large emphasis on groove in our music, we try to incorporate lots of catchy syncopated rhythms to get people moving.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Each of us have been in projects around the Asheville metal scene for years, so naturally we all knew each others capabilities and personalities, but we all became so close after playing in a band together.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Brett (Vocals): Spite

RJ (Drums): After the Burial

Aaron (Bass): Tool

Zack (Guitar): The Contortionist

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Each of us have lots of things we pull from our lives to incorporate into our music. Lyrically, we like to write about experiences we have all had that we feel people can relate to. At the end of the day, this music is all about conquering any bad thing you may encounter in your life, we hope our music can help do that for anybody, because writing it certainly helps each of us.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played in the beautiful town of Bristol, VA. on October 28th at the Woodmen for their "Heavy Halloween" show with some awesome bands including: Aesoterra, Big Mister, Curses, Arm The Witness, Gypsy Danger, At Night They Return, Full Swing, Ashes of Atonement, and Tyrant's End.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would love to travel to places like the west coast, Texas, new England, and overseas like Germany, Spain, or Russia.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

While Brett has a dream of featuring Bruno Mars, we would love to work with lots of our fellow local bands, as well as bands like After the Burial, Plini, Volumes, or Periphery.

9. Whom not?

We enjoy music of all forms, there's nothing we won't try!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I'm sure we've all suffered from stage fright at some point, the best advice we can give is to know your material like the back of your hand, and go into it feeling confident. If you know your stuff, your butterflies will go away the minute you hit the first chord.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

There are so many bands that inspired us all to play music, bands like Lamb of God and Slipknot, to bands like Blink-182 and Wavves.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We once had a fan from overseas request literally every piece of merch we had for their collection!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love all of our fans, we have received so much support and love it's crazy. We're still a relatively new band, so to see all our friends and fans out at shows is the greatest feeling in the world.

14. What do you think of our site?

We all love your site, we always respect an organization actively trying to help local bands get heard, keep up the good work!
