Interviews: JYNX

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Nu-Metal/Metalcore band JYNX, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Jerry: I was really into reading about witchcraft at the time, and the concept of how Wryneck woodpeckers (genus: Jynx) were used to hex People was pretty interesting to me. Everyone thinks its a Pokémon reference though.should hsvbtho.in retrospecthaha.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Jerry: When writing for this band I wanted to take influence from everything that got me into heavier music, and fuse it with things I love about more modern heavy music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Jerry: Yeah we're all from a pretty tight knit music scene here in NYC so we've all been connected for a certain amount of years.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jerry: Korn, Bury Your Dead, and Meshuggah for sure.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Jerry: Hardship and depression honestly inspires me. I use music as a positive outlet and an escape from the pressures of life and societal pressure.

6. Where was your last gig?

Jerry: Brooklyn, NY with our homies in Traitors, Sabella, the Machinist and Shallow views. Every band honestly killed it and are all worth checking out.

7. Where would you like to act?

Jerry: I honestly can't wait to tour Europe and Japan. Japan is where I want to end up after I retire.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Jerry: I'd honestly die if we ever got Jonathan Davis, Corey Taylor, or Chino from Deftones. I'd also be super stoked if our boy A.J from Fire From the Gods blessed a track. I'm really into their message as a band and he's been super supportive of us since we've met.

9. Whom not?

Jerry: This is kind of a loaded question, there are certain bands out there with certified shit People that I'd rather avoid in the long run.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Jerry: I actually had terrible stage fright as a kid, bailed on many a school play last minute because of it. In high school I took a theater class to help me work over those problems, it ended up making me a better human in the long run.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Jerry: Like I said before, Korn, Meshuggah, Slipknot, Bury Your Dead, Emmure, Ill Niño, Soulfly, Periphery, Tesseract, Hatebreed, Linkin Park, and Mudvayne.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Jerry: Never had any seriously weird requests from fans. I guess I'm pretty lucky for that.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Jerry: Love every single one of them. How could you not absolutely adore someone who supports you for the art you create and work so hard for them to hear?

14. What do you think of our site?

Jerry: I think your site is fucking dope for the fact you're helping smaller bands who try really hard to be heard. A lot of bands can work super hard , put out great music and go completely unnoticed, so every outlet of discovery is super important.
