Interviews: Herida Profunda

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Grindcore/Hardcore band Herida Profunda, from UK/Poland. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was planned. First time when i heard those words - herida profunda was obviously vitanim x song. I thought that this could be awesome name for a band cause it carry the message. So when we form the band it was foreseeable how we will name the band.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We never names the genre that we want to play. We just started to play. If you like hc/punk, crust, grind, metal then why stick to just one genre ? we always tried to mix all styles that welike and we leave pigeonholing to people who review our releases or come to our shows.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I started the band with Rafi - our former drummer. There was several line-up changes over the years but i think that at the moment we we are very stable. All of us were involved in other bands for years and was active on DIY scene so we knew each other before.

4. Each band member favourite band?

I dont have a favourite band, i like old death metal, good old brutal truth or napalm death but I'm also a huge fan of nick cave and the bad seeds so i listen to different stuff.

Im sure Jedras would say "motorhead/slayer/napalm death". I think Gavlish listen more hardcore stuff and Jachu likes stoner but we would have to ask them for their favourite bands :)

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I guess stupidity in general, of people, society, police, boneheads. You turn on your tv, read a newspaper and you got inspiration every minute.

6. Where was your last gig?

We have done short 4 gigs tour with Psychoneurosis in october 2017. That was out last shows. We played on Rozbrat Squat in Poland, then Bloodshed Festival pre -party in Holland, played again in Halle in Germany and finished in Szczecin/ PL.

7. Where would you like to act?

We always want to play in countries we never had a chance to visit yet. We would love to make a tour outside of europe. Hopefully soon :)

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Its a tricky one. Its always nice to play with a band that you know and like. But its always a great suprise when you play in new place with a band you never heard before and it turns out to be fucking great ! if you know band you know what to expect. If you're seeing great band, that you never heard before, for a first time its a good thrill.

9. Whom not?

we dont share the stage with racists, homophobes. We have refused to play or cancel the shows due to such reasons and we will continiue to do so. There is no space on DIY scene for this shit. It's sad they they even have a platform to demonstrate their sick shit.

We try to avoid so called apolitical oi bands. Maybe its radical for some people. fuck it. Something is black or white. We dont like grey zones ! 9 times or 10 grey zone becomes shit zone so fuck this "apoliticalism".

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

i dont think we have a huge issue with this. Its fun and should be fun. I think playing gigs is like a escape from reality, have a good fun, very often a drink so i guess stage fright fades away :)

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I realy would like to play gigs more often and as much as possible. I can see few bands that are working their ass off and dedicate themselves for touring almost whole year around and somehow this inspires me to push our band to another levels. From the other side we all have stuff to do outside of the band so i guess it comes to  good balance between band/touring and family/work and other stuff that we do.

I treat the band as a form of activism and i guess all other bands that do similar are somehow inspiration to me.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I dont think we ever had any weird situation. Nothing i can recall.

13. What do you think of your fans?

i dont really like term "fans". Abba have fans :) we have friends that likes our stuff. And very often if they are also in the band and we like their stuff :) of course im happy when i hear that people likes our stuff or comes to the show and enjoy what they see and hear.

14. What do you think of our site?

Amaizingly done ! i really like it. You can see straigth away that your team is making sure to run it on high and professional level. I know this might be hard on DIY terms. Great job man ! keep it up !
