Interviews: Dead Morale

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metalcore band Dead Morale from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The day we came up with the name we just wrote down a bunch of names that we thought sounded good and tournament style voted them out one by one. The name has different meaning to each one of us but thats what makes it have a special place in each one of our hearts.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We grew up on it. It was what got us through our earlier years. Seeing Fans at shows you kind of see yourself in them and you know how much music means to them. Its also one of those genres that has such a strong fan to performer connection.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Some of us shared together in our old bands (Resist Capture, Beliefs, I Killed the Cat) but on a personal level we never hung out or knew each other outside of that. It was just one of those each music scene is a small world and everyone knows someone some how someway.

4. Each band member favourite band?

This was a hard one for us to pick just one. So many bands are our favorites.  Alan-Michael Novajovsky- Slipknot  Blake Miller- Neck Deep  Chris Farrow- Beartooth  Jake Russel- Rage Against the Machine  Adam Michel- Between the Buried and Me  Tyler King- Metallica

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

What really inspires us to write is that feeling we first got after performing a show, seeing a fan, and seeing how your music has an affect on them. Just knowing that one song helped them through that one rough day, kept them from making a bad decision, or just gave them an escape for a few minutes.

6. Where was your last gig?

We currently haven’t played our first gig together as Dead Morale, but we have our first coming up March 26th with Curses and Lumen. Which we are super excited to play for our first show.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would really like to play on this last run of warped tour. They always have a local contest, hopefully with the help of our fans we will be able to get on Atlanta’s stop. Its a shame our Debut year is Warped’s final, but change is not always a bad thing and there will definitely be something to take its place in the future.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There would be a lot of back and forth on deciding this one but if it was in a real situation and we could make it happen. It would have to be with Wage War those guys are killing it right now and just looks like there not an end in site for where they are going with their music.

9. Whom not?

Lil Pump

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We Personally haven’t had any severe forms of stage fright. But from your 1st all the way to the 300th show everyone has the show pre show jitters. Our best advice is a shot of liquid courage helps, but all in moderation or you’ll end up with a lot worse than stage fright. Also confidence is key, just remember these people paid to see a show and play every show like it’s your last

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We honestly cant answer this one. So many bands inspire each one of us, but thats what makes our writing process special when writing something.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Honestly at this point right now we haven’t had the weird questions yet. We get the basic message questioning of our EP “Revive” that is about to release March 30th. “will there be anymore releases before then? Can i get a download? I won’t show anyone.”

13. What do you think of your fans?

For what we have so far we are more than grateful and can’t wait to see where their support takes us. Yes, theres a lot of hard work that a band puts forth to make things happen, but without the support of fans a band would be nothing.

14. What do you think of our site?

Its not one of the usual “check out this song” band posters. Its a lot more news driven and gives different material than everyone else covers.
