Interviews: Isolate

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metalcore  band Isolate from UK. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

It came from previous name which was Isolate the Witness - which was based on how people are isolated for what they believe in no matter how different it is from ideologies of the people.    

2.Why did you want to play this genre?   

Between us we have a huge array if influences whilst growing up. From old school metal bands such as Slipknot, Machine Head and System of a Down and then more recent bands such as Architects, Asking Alexandria and Reflections. Watching our favourite bands play live and driving us to produce music and be involved in the metal industry is something we’ve all aspired to be a part of.  

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?   

None of the members knew each other that well before the band. We all knew each other, more friends of a friend situation. We were all previously in bands from the same area.  

4. Each band member favourite band?   

Rob - Enter Shikari 

Kieran - Reflections, Motionless in White, In Hearts Wake. 

Jamie - Biffy Clyro 

Sam - Architects, Northlane, Reflections  

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?   

We take a lot of inspiration when writing music. A lot of the songs are based on the struggle when dealing with your thoughts and the darker part of your mind. All our songs are packed with emotion and are all real, which is what gives our songs that power, especially live.  

6. Where would you like to act?   

We don’t have any preference to where we play, we just enjoy being on stage and smashing every show we play. It would be really cool to play out of the UK someday and maybe go to Europe, maybe even USA!  

7. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?   

We all get nervous before going on stage but we just all get each other pumped up and encourage one another to go and perform to the best we can. Only tips we would give is to treat as another practice but with a few others there, use that energy and really get into the music you play.  

8. What bands have inspired you the most?   

As we said before all sorts of bands. our biggest inspirations at the moment are Reflections, Architects, Northlane.  

9. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?   

We’ve never been asked for anything weird but we played a headline show under our previous name (Isolate the Witness) and people travelled from all over the country and even as far asScotland just to see us play. It was so surreal.  

10. What do you think of your fans?   

Our fans mean so much to us and have given us so much support. Especially being so early in the stage since we rebranded. We’ve had a lot of great comments and feedback so far, hopefully we won’t disappoint with future releases.  

11. What do you think of our site?  

We think it is a really great way to discover bands, similar to ourselves. Platforms like this are vital to help keep spreanding the word of bands that want to gig and be discovered.
