Interviews: RXPTRS

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal band RXPTRS, from UK. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?   

RXPTRS came from a lot of heated discussions. We initially wanted to incorporate historical meaning and touch on philosophical beliefs, but we came to a point where we just wanted to describe ourselves and our mentality with a pack animal. Raptors to us describes our approach to music and our general outlook in life.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

We didn't really decide on a genre or any particular style. We just threw down some ideas that each of us had and it kinda came out the way it did. We have a flare for theatrics and touch on aggressive subject matter, so naturally the heaviness and dramatic sound was a result.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

We knew each other locally from older bands/projects.

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Ian: Bring Me the Horizon

Mat: Manchester Orchestra

Harley: Alter Bridge

Sam: Street Light Manifesto

Si: Every Time I Die

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Everything and nothing in particular. It could be a specific mood, a book, something on the news, personal things that have happened. Anything at all really, I keep an open mind to it.

 6. Where was your last gig?  

We have only played at house parties.

7. Where would you like to play? 

We want to play everywhere to be fair, basements, cellars, arenas, we want to see and play to everyone.

8. Who would you like to support? 

I think it'd be fun to get a full production going and play with the likes of Rob Zombie or MCR.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

We have only played in bedrooms so really we haven't had a stage let alone stage fright.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?  

I think we have all been inspired by different kinds of bands, but some collective ones would be MCR, Deftones and Alexisonfire.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

We welcome all weirdness. Nothing too odd yet.

12. What do you think of your fans? 

So far the reaction to RXPTRS has been incredible, very humbled by the love we've been shown.

13. What do you think of our site? 

Really love the site and what it's all about, really promoting new talent! A lot of great content.
