Interviews: Mortal Divinity

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metalcore/Deathcore band Mortal Divinity, from Croatia. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for Mortal Divinity name, you planned it or came out just like that?

At first, we started as Division Bleed, but the name just didn't sound right. We wanted to change the name, and somehow Mortal Divinity just poped out, and it sounded cool.

2.Why did you want to play metal music?

All of us were listening to rock/metal music since we were kids. We always liked speed, technicality and agression of the genre. Heavy guitars FTW! :D

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yeah Ivan R, Dino and Eric, know each other since they were kids, and they started playing music almost at the same time, so forming a band was a really logical step.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Dino - Dir En Grey
Ivan R - Trivium
Ivan J - Killswitch Engage
Bruno - Pantera
Eric - In Flames

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everything and everyone: relationships, life situations, politics, injustice, work, movies, music in general, etc.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in our hometown (Pula - Croatia), then we started recording our new material and we didn't have time to play any more gigs, but we will change that soon.

7. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere around the world, we would like to travel, explore different parts of the world and meet new fans.

8. Whom would you like to feature with in a song?

Matt Heaffy from Trivium, Jesse Leach from Killswitch Engage, Jason Cameron from Bury Tomorrow.

9. Whom not?

Not sure, no one comes to mind right now.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really, it's normal to be nervous sometimes, but the only advice we can offer in that regard is to know your songs really well and practice a lot! Everything goes fine if you follow these simple instructions :D.

11. What bands have inspired you to create Mortal Divinity´s music?

When we started the band, the biggest influences were mostly melodic death metal bands.

Nowadays, some of us are listening to all kind of music genres, not only metal and rock. But definitely, the most influential are modern metal bands. Bands that play melodic and aggressive music such as Trivium, Soilwork, Killswitch Engage, Gojira etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

For now, we haven't experience any weird situations....we were lucky!

13. What do you think of your fans?

To everyone who likes our music and supports us in what we do, we send them a lot of gratitude and appreciation.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's great! Thanks for the interview and keep up the good work, there should be more sites like you!
