Interviews: NecroticGoreBeast

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Brutal Death Metal/Slam band NecroticGoreBeast, from Canada. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

When we came up with the idea of starting a slam band, we knew we had to come with the most over-the-top name that you know just by reading it that it’s going to be brutal.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

For most of us, in all of our other projects, we never actually had the chance to play this genre. It was a good opportunity for us since in Canada (especially in Quebec) there is not that much bands that play slam.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes! John (vocals) and Alex (bass) are both in a prog death band called the Outborn. We all shared the stage with Mike (guitars) and JP (drums) on several occasions with their respective band.

4. Each band member favourite band?

John (vocals): Cannibal Corpse
Alex (bass): Dying Fetus
Mike (guitars): Abominable Putridity
JP (drums): Cattle Decapitation

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We definitely try to go with what makes the genre so cool for us, over-the-top gory titles, pretty much anything that inspire exaggerated brutality and lots of gore!

6. Where was your last gig?

Funny fact: We never had the opportunity to play live yet!

7. Where would you like to play?

With the tight schedule we have with our other projects, we are definitely looking to play on festival gigs and definitely in the USA. Check for some massive gigs with the release of the album in 2019!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Definitely Devourment, Kraanium, Pathology, Abominable Putridity and Vulvodynia.

9. Whom not?

We don’t have any band in mind with whom we wouldn’t like to play!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

John (vocals) : Yes and I always have (stage fright). The only thing I got in mind is « I can do it and I will do it for everyone who want to have fun with us ». Always look to those who love your music, the rest is not important.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Lot of bands from Comatose Music actually! Kraanium, Pathology and Devourment are definitely our biggest influences.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We got a request over Facebook to sing happy birthday in clean vocals to a guy, haha!

13. What do you think of your fans?

It’s definitely the core of our success! Without them we are nothing, they are very receptive to our stuff!

14. What do you think of our site? ( http://www.breathingthecore.com)

It definitely looks cool! It gives exposure to bands in a lot of sub genre and help us reach more people with our music!
