Interviews: Red Devil Vortex

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal/Hard Rock band Red Devil Vortex, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Gabriel: Nothing in this band was creatively over planned. We just do what feels right to us and so far we’ve been having a good response with it!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Gabriel: I didn’t choose to play this genre. It chose to play me!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes. Pablo and I have been friends since we were 8 years old and we’ve played music together for most of that time. We met Iago when he joined our previous band, Livin Garden. The three of us have always had a good relationship since then.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Gabriel: KISS!
Iago: Jonas Brothers. Just kidding! Iron Maiden.
Pablo: KISS for me, too

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Gabriel: That was the main thing I always wanted to do since I started playing when I was a kid. I don’t know where that came from and I enjoy playing cover songs too, but it always made more sense to me to write my own stuff and do my best to be myself and offer something real.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Hollywood, celebrating the release of our new EP, “Something Has To Die”. The next one will be at the Viper Room, with Motograter.

7. Where would you like to act?

We never really though about it, but never say never!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Our dream tours would probably be with our favorite bands like KISS and Iron Maiden, but we’re always down to tour with any different artists and bring our music to a crowd that haven’t heard about us or our music style.

9. Whom not?

Gabriel: I wanna tour with everybody, unless they’re douchbags. Then it’s a no!

Iago: I would tour with anybody who enjoys what they’re doing... Cause that’s what we do!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Gabriel: I’ve been nervous before, but never had stage fright. My tip would be to just go for it. Scared or not, afraid or not, nervous or not, it doesn’t matter. What matters is you going for it and doing your best even if you know you’re very scared. That will pass, it will make you grow and it will show you’re capable of doing anything, even the things that scare you the most.

Iago: I do get nervous before I sit on the drum set, once I’m there with drumsticks in hands everything gets easy.

Pablo: I’ve never suffered from stage fright, I get a little nervous before the show sometimes, but that’s it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Gabriel: We’re inspired by a lot of different artists and music genres to write our music. KISS for me, of course, Seal, Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, Bee Gees, to name a few.

Iago: To be honest I’m always listening to a lot of different stuff. Sometimes I would go from Iron Maiden to Dave Matthews, or Michael Jackson to Jethro Tull.

Pablo: KISS, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews Band, Muse. But the list changes from time to
time!

12 . What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Gabriel: Once I had a fan asking me if they could move in with me, seriously! Sounded like they wanted a meet and greet package on steroids!

Iago: Nothing really weird actually… I’ve signed some boobs here and there though.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Gabriel: I’m already amazed by the fact that we have fans. We love and respect them all very much!

Iago: The fact that people like what we do excites me, because we love what we do and all I want is other people to feel the same!

Pablo: All I can say is that I really appreciate the fact we have people that enjoy the work we do, go to the shows and buy our material to support the band.

14. What do you think of our site?

Killer! Keep up the good work! Thanks for your support and for having us here! We really appreciate it.
