Interviews: Scarleth

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal band Scarleth, from Ukraine. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

SCARLET was just a cool simple name which came to my sister's mind :) I only added "h" to the end of the word, so it looks more "metal". We also like this name because it doesn't limit our musical style in any way. We can play anything we want under this title.

2. Why did you want to play this genre? 

We always liked melodism in music, so our music is saturated with it. We play what feels natural for us. Also we always liked energy of metal music, that is the reason too.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

No. I found all the band members through social media networks. But band's first line-up included both of my sisters :)

4. Each band member favourite band? 

We like too many bands and performers, it is too difficult to select just one of them, sorry :) 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

I think main inspiration is the life itself. Places which you've visited, people you've met. And of course, music, movies, books - it's all endless source of inspiration.

6. Where was your last gig? 

It was in our local club called "Bingo" in Kiev, Ukraine. Fantastic club I must say. We really enjoy playing there. If you need a good place to play in Kiev, I can suggest you this club.

7. Where would you like to act? 

You mean, where would we like to perform live, country-wise? We are really interested in playing at European open air festivals, there are many of them which are interesting for us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

I think Within Temptation or Amaranthe would be great :) I've been to their shows and talked to them after - they are seem to be really nice people, it would be cool to tour with them.

9. Whom not? 

Don't know such bands, we don't have much experience in touring together with other bands yet.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

It was the case at the beginning. Then, after we've played so many shows, stage fright is gone. Tip to avoid stage fright is to face your fear, play live more.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

As for myself, I think Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, those are two bands who got me really into rock music. But I like variety of styles and bands, and all of them are important.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

To write an autograph on her tits :)

13. What do you think of your fans? 

We really love them. We play for the people, it is the main point of our band - to give all we can to our fans.
