Interviews: Viboras

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Punk Rock band Viboras, from Italy. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

It took us a while to settle with a name, all the ones we were coming up with sounded lame or too obnoxious. Then one evening Gio, the bass player, and Sal, guitarist, talked about how cool "vipers" would be as a name and that then got translated in spanish so it wouldn't sound too trashy, eighties and car-like. Viboras. Sounds good.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

We literally grew up with this genre, punkrock was what we'd breathe and what we wanted to do since the beginning.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Sure! Guitar and drums were already playing in another band called "Berenice Beach" and had been friends forever. Myself (voice) and bass briefly played in another band before meeting with the other two on the set of a Berenice Beach video. That was the beginning of our band.

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Sal (guit) - Social Distortion

Gio (bass) - Misfits

Beppe (drums) - Zeke

Irene (vox) - none! (laughs) I can't choose just one, love too many of them! Rather go with none.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Well, usually what happens daily or happened in the past. Old demons or things I want to say out loud.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Italy, at Old School Pub in Brescia couple of weeks ago.

7. Where would you like to perform? 

Punk Rock Holiday and all of the other festivals like that around! Loolapalooza, anywhere you have fun, you name it.

8. Whom would you like to tour with? 

Mmm, never really thought about that. Maybe those who made our genre big, like Lagwagon, Rancid, Social Distortion and such.

9. Whom not? 

Any uptight a-holes. We've already seen lots of that, no need to replicate.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Hahahahah what if I said some of us still has that? It's on the good side of playing, the challenge that gets your heart beating fast before even playing the first note.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Inspiration comes from any band, not necessarily our fave bands. All of the above made us think we wanted to be like that, but I listen to so many different things that any band can bring fresh air to a new song.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Well. I'll speak (Irene), I usually get the weird requests. To get my boots off and show my feet. Also one wanted to kneel down so I could use the guy as a footrest

13. What do you think of your fans? 

That they're the ones that make anything possible, and the ones we're here for! We f*** love them from the depths of our hearts

14. What do you think of our site?
