Interviews: KHASM

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Death Metal/Trash Metal band KHASM from France. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, it was planned or just came like that?

Christophe (Vocals): We try to find a name that sneak up on the listenners. And we wanted just one word, not something too much overloaded ! and so came KHASM, with a K, the brutal touch ! ah ah ah ah ! 

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Our previous was between rock and metal. But this time we wanted to play metal, thrash/death-metal god dammit !!! 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We played together before but it was not successful… 

4. Each member favourite band?

Christophe (Vocals): For me it’s HxC ! madball, skarhead, marauder, etc…. 

Philippe (Guitars): Metallica (I came into metal with them), Feared, Annihilator, Death, but the list could be longer, hahaha !! In general, I love old-school thrash and death. 

5. Who or what inspires you to write the songs?

Christophe (Vocals): inspiration comes from comics book… I try to do it with a dark touch. I think it’s more interesting ! 

6. Where was your last gig?

Philippe (Guitars): In November 2016, at the Rock Your Brain Festival in France !! We were opening for Dark Funeral, Krisiun and Anaal Nathrakh. It was just unbelievable to have the opportunity to play besides this awesome bands !! 

7. Where do you want to play?

Christophe (Vocals): We want to play outside france ! germany, England, Sweden, norway, etc… and why not America ! 

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

We can play with every bands ! there is nothing better than a show ! but yes we will love to play with band such as the haunted or feared! 

9. Whom not?

A salsa-metal band...Hahaha !!! No seriously, we are opened-mind, so if we think a show could be great for us, no matters !! 

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

First time was awful for me… I was too shy, too inexperienced et too much drunk !!! but now it’s over. Before the show I’m really excited ! I need to go on stage ! 

11. What bands have you inspired the most?

Philippe (Guitars): When I started playing guitar, it was definitely Metallica. But now, even if some riffing could still have their feeling, it’s more bands like Feared, The Haunted or Hatesphere. 

12. What´s the weirdest thing a fan ever asked you for?

Christophe (Vocals): Sorry but nothing weird at all… 13 I’d like to think our fans are crazy, devoted and dedicaded to the band ! isn’t it ? 

14. What do you think of our site?

Philippe (Guitars): Really great site indeed ! I love the desings and the idea of “Track-by- Track” and Behind the Cover” interview is just awesome. Keep on going that way guys ! And thanks for your interest in our music !!
