Interviews: Fear Me December

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Rock band Fear Me December from UK. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We just started the project, it was a December few years ago and we were brainstorming on skype trying to find new names. At that moment valentin was listening to Mew and one of the songs goes: "Black waves come, and so fear me, December".  So everything added up, we liked how it sounds, it was a December....winner winner chicken dinner. Few years later we came to released that every big change in the band happens in December, clearly we made a good choice.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Main music we've listening and is in us already. We grew up listen to that kind of music, you know when you are 13 listening to Papa Roach, thinking that you want to learn how to play guitar to be just like them Is who we are after all.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Not at all, the band put us here and we became a family. Except for Victoria
and Valentin, they knew each other from Argentina, where everything started.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tony: Pink Floyd.
Victoria: Queen.
Stuart: Alter Bridge.
Valentin: Sick Puppies.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our own lives, and our favorite bands' music. The need to have a catalyst and create the same feeling of belonging for other people. Is not just find a way for us to feel better and feel alive, but also be able to reach out for people who needs or feels the same.

6. Where was your last gig?

Temple Of Doom, Leeds. We played with Tormenta (fricking awesome band), Fyre Sky and Heretic Order. A cozy nice gig with good friends.

7. Where would you like to play?

Wembley, no questions.

8. Who would you like to support?

So many! If we have to dream out loud Alter Bridge, Sick Puppies, Shine Down and the list goes on and on. And if we are talking about the local scene, definitely Skarlett Riot, Altered Sky, Chasing Dragons...we played already with them and we had the best time ever.

9. Who not?

Kanye West, Nicky Minahj, Justin Bieber, we like to play with real musicians you know?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We wouldn't say stage fright. We get nervous and anxious, is like we want to go for it without waiting. But we just joke around, spend some time together and try to relax.

Try not to think about the show before hand, mess around, relax, if you are well rehearsed then just enjoy it and go with the flow. And if you make a mistake....oh well..is rock and roll after all.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Stu: Alter Bridge, Green Day, Parting Gift, Trivium

Victoria: In This Moment when it comes to vocals, Alter bridge and Queen when it comes to music in general.

Valentin: Alter Bridge, Sick Puppies, Papa Roach.

Tony: Toto, Pink Floyd, Dream theater.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Stu: After a show someone approached me with one of our set lists asking to put some lipstick on me and kiss the set list. Rest of the band: we only come across with normal and nice people, sorry Stu.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are the most committed and supporting people we have ever seen in our lives. We do what we do for them and the response we have is priceless.  We like to think that more than fans they are family.

14. What do you think of our site?

I mean, you have a picture of a lama, that's 10/10 to start with. Now, it''s really organized, really easy to find your your way around it - can't stress enough how important this is!. And the support you give to bands through it it's amazing, really awesome!

15. Something to add?
