Interviews: SWALLOWING THE WEAK

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Deathcore project SWALLOWING THE WEAK from Ireland. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

I didn' t think about that,  I had few cool ideas about the name , but in the meantime I' ve recived a t-shirt of my favourite band IMPENDING DOOM. At the back said SWALLOWING THE WEAK. As they are my long time inspiration I choose that name for the project.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

Initialy i was completely in vibes close to Pantera ,Kingdom of Sorrow,Down,but I´ve needed somethin more, then appeard in this moment, SUICIDE S, WHITECHAPEL, TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED, IMPENDING DOOM etc. So after listening those bands I became already possessed and abused.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

SWALLOWING is one man army project, I only needed help with drums, so I contact my friend, Rafal Kobylinski for that job.

4. Your favourite band?

I think IMPENDING DOOM and their album DEATH WILL REIGN.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Inspirations came from every side I fell in love with deathcore and I tried to pick up all best moments and use them in my music

6. Where was your last gig?

I don't play gigs because it's an online project, maybe in a future, but nowadays i have to raise my kids.

7. Where would you like to act?

Wherever, even in a cheap nightclub.

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

Obviously with IMOPENDING DOOM, TAIM, WHITECHAPEL, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY or AVERSIONS CROWN. Those are my favourites.

9. Whom not? 

I will not play with any metalcore band, nowdays even LAMB OF GOD is called metalcore, but i mean true metalcore (with clean choruses) because I don't get it.

10. Have you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I was on stage a lot of times in the past but I only suffered once,  early  in the 90s. I was on stage and during the show I´ve almost fell into the vocalist which had 10 inched nails on hands, but somehow we passed each other in last moment, otherwiese it would have been a disaster.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Obviously IMPENDING DOOM (FOREMOST), AVERSIONS CROWN, TAIM, WHITECHAPEL. Maybe its not in underground direction but i don't care they're the best in genere and i'll try to chase them)nowdays children on first place.

12. What do you think of your fans? 

They are the best.

13. What do you think of our site?

What can I say, I found a lot of famous bands. Its nice find a place whithin them.

14. Something add?
