Interviews: Hatchet Hill

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Hardcore/Metalcore band Hatchet Hill from USA. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Hatchet Hill is the name of a street near our hometown that we always thought would make a good name and it just stuck.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Metal has an energy and community like no other genre and it's something we've grown up loving.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, everyone but Dan went to the same school but we all connected through the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Max: Rush
Nick: Trivium
Dan: Linkin Park
Noam: Metallica

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Music is a great way to reach people and express our emotions to the world especially when a lot of the media nowadays is full of negativity.

6. Where was your last gig?

The Raven in Worcester, Massachusetts supporting our friends in Fragments in Motion and Planetary Alignment

7. Where would you like to act?

The Palladium in Massachusetts and the Webster mainstage are some goals we have for the near future. We'd also love to start playing outside of New England.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We'd love to play with the band Currents because they made it big starting out in the same local scene as us and we all love their music.

9. Whom not?

Any band who disrespects audience members, venue employees, or other musicians.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Nick pees alot before we go on but aside from that just remember you're the one who's earned the spot on stage.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Currents, Trivium, Rush, The Wiggles, Killswitch Engage, Linkin Park and all the local homies.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing too crazy yet, we'll get back to you though.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love seeing them come out to shows and we're excited to keep meeting new ones.

14. What do you think of our site?

We think it's awesome that there's a place for smaller bands to get their names out there and appreciate all that they do for the scene.

15. Something add?

Behind Closed Doors will be out soon and after that we plan on hitting the studio within a few weeks with a new EP. Also thanks so much for interviewing us!!
