Interviews: Eight Days

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview  the Melodic Hardcore/Punk Rock band Eight Days from UK. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

The band name is a shortened version of a really old band name, it just stuck and we liked it, seemed fitting 

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

I think we've always had a connection to heavy music because we've grown up with it, playing in this genre just feels natural and its just fun.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

We did yeah, Before this band reformed as this lineup we all played gigs with the original lineup, before we all met up and spoke about re-forming it as this band we actually bumped into/coincidentally spoke to each other in the space of a few weeks, we took it as a good sign 

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Ben - Green Day

Rob - Palm Reader

Mat - End

Jake - Comeback Kid

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Probably bands like us that have started out like ours, it's a big push forward, it's cool to play/watch them at shows and take things away from what you see when they play live 

6. Where was your last gig?

No gigs yet as this line-up, we'll be playing a few shows at the end of the year and leading into 2019 after we release our first single 

7. Where would you like to play?

We love playing all shows, no matter where it is.

8. Who would you like to support?

There's too many to pick, that's too hard 

9. Who not?

Maybe someone not remotely like us at all, Kendrick Lamar? Actually no that'd be awesome.

10. Any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat it?

Nah not at all, more concerned with how many people are in the room, as  long as we're playing to people we're sorted. Advice? Just do it, you'll have a good time 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Palm Reader maybe, they've released such a good album this year and they are unbelievable live, just any band who bring it on record and live and have an amazing drive for what they do.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

When we're asked we'll let you know, haha.1\
