Interviews: EVERYONE AND ANYONE

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Pop Punk band EVERYONE AND ANYONE from UK. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Rob: it just came up in conversation as it goes! We were taking about something random and somebody said the words together and we were like man that’d make a pretty cool band name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Rob: pop punk is a genre that we all grew up on so I think naturally we gravitate towards it. It’s also a really fun genre to play because the music we write is upbeat and that helps us put on an energetic and exciting live show too.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Rob: a few of us did, myself and Gary (guitar) moved within similar circles socially in our hometown meaning we regularly got drunk together and it’s actually pretty bizarre that we didn’t end up in a band together sooner! Scott (guitar) was recommended by a mutual friend and Aaron (drums) came to be in the band a similar way too. Matt’s (bass) the latest edition to the band as he helped out with a show we’d have otherwise had to cancel and now we’ve kinda just latched onto him and refused to let him go home.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Rob: mines always gonna be Blink-182 it’s totally a cliche but they’re just the best

Aaron: Back-On

Gary: The Wonder Year’s

Scott: Deaf Havana

Matt: AFI

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Rob: Lyrically I tend to take inspiration from my own experiences or things that people I’m around have been through. Gary’s always writing guitar parts and riffs and stuff and we send a lot back and forth to each other and when we have something that’s starting to come together we’ll get in a room together and get a proper song laid down.

6. Where was your last gig?

Rob: the last show we played was at The Fulford Arms in York with our friends in Feed Them To The Forest, This Time Last Year, and Bloodsport. It was super hot and everyone in the venue was literally soaking but there was a great atmosphere and it was packed out!

7. Where would you like to act?

Rob: personally I’d love to play the biggest room at Manchester Academy because that’s where I went to see all my favourite bands when I was in high school.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Rob: opening for Blink 182 or Sum 41 would be a real moment for me because they’re the first bands that really got me into music in general.

9. Whom not?

Rob: man I’d be up for a show with literally anyone. If there’s somewhere for me to make a cup of tea and a stage to perform on I’m there!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Rob: honestly I’d say just practise loads. I’ve found I’m totally chill walking on stage when we’ve had a decent string of rehearsals before a tour or whatever and we all know that we all know what we’re doing. That and don’t take yourself too seriously on stage. I’ve fallen over on stage, I’ve dropped mics on stage and I’ve forgotten words on stage the last thing you wanna do in any of those situations is throw a diva fit, just have a laugh! Performing is something you should enjoy so just take a minute to relax and appreciate that you’re doing something you love.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Rob: lyrically I really like old fall out boy some of Pete’s early lyrics are still some of my favourite to date. For general vibe it has to be Blink.

Gary: for me it’s NFG and Blink. Tom Delonge and Chad Gilbert are sick.

Matt: I was inspired by the drive thru records days / bands that were around in the early 2000's as that was what really set me on course to play the music I'm playing now. In terms of a specific musician inspiration I'd say Dee Dee Ramone because I love how simple and effective the bass lines are and how it stands out.

Scott: biggest musical influence for me is Jack White.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Rob: We’re all weird dudes ourselves so it’d be pretty hard to weird us out

13. What do you think of your fans?

Rob: they’re ace! The people we have that support us are sick and we really appreciate them all. It’s always mind blowing to me when we play a show and people are singing songs that we wrote, I’ll never get tired of that!

14. What do you think of our site?

Rob: it’s cool! I just checked it out and noticed I have a few friends that already follow you guys

15. Something add?

Rob: You can check out our new single Rainy Days on Spotify/Apple Music/YouTube etc right now! Also check our social media for tour dates and come down to a show!
