Interviews: Trash Deity

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview  the Industrial Rock band Trash Deity from USA. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

JDN: It was the only name we agreed upon. It literally took us over a year to name the band, we had several songs done before the name. I still have a massive band name list, I think I have band names and song titles for life.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

JDN: I’ve always been into aggressive electronic music. I’m sure growing up in Chicago around Wax Trax and Chicago Trax was a massive influence.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

JDN: We knew each other a bit in passing here in there, the Chicago Connection and I first talked to him a bit more long form at an art exhibit he had down the street from me in Burbank, CA.

4. Each band member favourite band?

JDN: I know Groovie Mann’s favorite is David Bowie, mine is probably Depeche Mode.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

JDN: Martin Gore from Depeche Mode is one of my fav songwriters, he has the give of capturing complex human emotions in pop songs. I love Simon LeBon’s lyrics from Duran Duran, they’re so cryptic and cool, songs like the Reflex.

6. Where was your last gig?

JDN: We have not played out yet.

7. Where would you like to act?

JDN: I’m in Los Angeles, It’s the place to act.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

JDN: Anyone worse than us so we look good.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

JDN: I don’t think either of us suffer stage fright, Groovie Mann and I love being the center of attention, always!

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

JDN: The world we live in and life in general inspires me.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

JDN: No Comment

12. What do you think of your fans?

JDN: I think Blue Eyed Christ and Thrill Kill Kult and Trash Deity all have very passionate fans. It’s flattering when people tell you how much your music means to them. It’s a shared connection.

13. What do you think of our site?

JDN: I love your site as much as you love my music!

14. Something add?

JDN: I hope this reaches someone in the universe that inspires them to acquire our album and it influences them to do something great and create their own art.
