Interviews: VERIDIAN

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview  the Alternative Rock band VERIDIAN from UK. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We're not allowed to talk about it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We've always floated around the rock genre, from emo to heavy metal. We've fixed ourselves on a sound that suits the blend of different styles including mixing synths and guitars with strong vocal harmonies.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Most of the guys in the band have been playing music together for about 15 years, since we were kids. We met Stack and Jonny along the way.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Simon - Incubus
Robbie - Biffy Clyro
Jonny - Enter Shikari
Joe - The Smiths
Zak - Architects
Stack - Enter Shikari

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We're inspired by following our passion for music and our focus on touring the country, meeting new people and playing bigger shows and festivals.

6. Where was your last gig?

Torquay. We played Burn It Down Festival with Mallory Knox, Arcane Roots and whole load of other upcoming bands.

7. Where would you like to act?

Being a band from Reading we've always had our sights set on playing Reading Festival.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Normandie, Creeper, Holding Absence, Black Peaks.

9. Whom not?

We're open to anything! Stick us on stage with Beyoncé, we wouldn't say no.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

All of us are pretty comfortable with jumping up onto a stage. It can be a bit nerve-racking when it's a big show or a prestigious event but usually a couple of beers calms the nerves!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We're inspired by a whole range of bands from Fleetwood Mac to Foo Fighters, Muse to Architects, Biffy Clyro to Enter Shikari. Our music is quite diverse and we take inspiration from all different aspects of music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Not sure we've ever had any strange requests!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We're proud to have an ever growing fan base. We love it when people message us online or come up and say hey at shows.

14. What do you think of our site?

The site is great. It's awesome to have the support for the genre and industry.

15. Something add?

Keep an eye out for some new tunes very soon.
