Interviews: Rituals

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Death Metal band Rituals from Australia. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I'm not 100% sure but I remember Joel suggesting Rituals and it just had a good vibe about it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We originally were going to do a more modern progressive style but eventually decided on melodic death because we both enjoy fast riffs and that genre of music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Joel and I (Jed) have been friends for several years prior having lived and played together in other projects. We were lucky enough to meet Pierre and Warren through an advertisement we posted online seeking members.

4. Each band member favourite band?

At The Gates, Death, Immolation, Slayer.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

For me personally I get inspiration from watching live bands... Regardless of genre. There's always something interesting to be found and experimented with.

6. Where was your last gig?

We last played at a venue in Brunswick, Victoria called Whole Lotta Love. Small venue but it's always a fun night.

7. Where would you like to act?

It would be amazing to hit some European stages.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

At the gates, Gates of Ishtar or Unanimated. Bands along those lines.
9. Whom not?

Justin Bieber for obvious reasons.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I have/do every now and then. My only tip would be to concentrate on what you're playing and try not be too intimidated by the audience.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Pretty much as above

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

So far there's been nothing weird requested.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I really appreciate the support they give! I also hope they enjoy what we're doing.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a good site to discover new material.

15. Something add?

Thanks for the interview! Be sure to check us out on Facebook and bandcamp.
