Aussie Pop-Punks Just About Done recently released their sophomore EP ‘I Am Getting By’. With a line-up completed by Jack Farnfield and Daniel Sunday on Guitar, Joe Considine on Bass and Michael March on Drums, you may recognise the quintet’s name from the Blink 182 track. Beginning life as a school band, Just About Done reveal that their ambitions lie in bringing the art back into music, with McGee emphasizing that they want to be part of the community to push along: “Listening to albums from start to finish; attaching music to memories; really being there in that point in time, listening and watching a performance, rather than watching through a screen. We know it's possible.” ‘I Am Getting By’, is self-described as sounding like Violent Soho if you “throw a female singer on top”. Turn It Off – Paramore is amazing and certainly one of our favourites as far as inspiration goes.

Best Album Ever Written: 

The Story So Far self-titled album. It’s certainly a huge influence on our music and an album we could listen to over and over.

Craziest Moment You’ve Experienced In The Band: 

Getting asked to support artists we have loved for so long! (The Wonder Years and Boston Manor!)

Deepest Lyrics One Of Your Songs Features: 

All of Peacemaker's lyrics are quite hard hitting and deep. The song talks about religion but is sometimes mistaken for an argument between a couple. The line “Have you really thought about what you can't see?”, prefaced by a few more thought-provoking lines, would have to be the deepest of our lyrics.

Easiest Song You Wrote: 

"Strain" had quite a quick song writing process. We were really in the zone and it just flowed. Lyrically and instrumentally.

Favourite Show You’ve Ever Played: 

Supporting "Slowly Slowly" at The Corner Hotel, Melbourne (AU). It was our first proper mosh, with people singing our lyrics back. Definitely a show held close to our hearts.

Guest You’d Most Like To Feature On A Your Record:

Happiest Moment In You’ve Experienced In The Band:

There are so many. We love playing live, but just hanging out together at practise or touring is always a great time, too. It would be too difficult to choose

just one moment.

Interesting Fact About One Of Your Members: 

Jack's shoulder is so f***ed up, that he has even dislocated his shoulder while sneezing! Not too fun for him.

Jokes You Have In The Band: 

Any time our drummer Marchi says something responsible, we respond by saying “Classic Dad”. He has a son, so it's a pretty easy joke and can be applied often.

Kicking Off Your Set Is Best With Which Song: 

At the moment, we kick the set off by playing "1029". Full of energy and sets the tone for the rest of our performance.

Longest Distance You’ve Travelled To Play A Show: 

From Melbourne to Brisbane in a van (1600kms, 18.5 hours!)

Most Inspiring Musician You’ve Ever Experienced: 

Hellions are incredible to watch live. They put on a really tight performance!

New Band You’d Recommend: 

We'e really backing Eat Your Heart Out at the moment.

Reason For The Title Of Your Recent Release: 

This EP tells a story of dealing with a lot of struggles in life, and "I Am Getting By" really resonated with us. It doesn't mean you are doing amazing, but you are getting through it.

The Old Days Of Music Were Better Than Those Current, do you agree: 

In some aspects, yes. It was far more simple, and you didn't need to be a facebook algorithm genius to promote your music. However, we are able to be infinitely creative with our music now, and have so many options. There are pro's and con's to both.

We always do variations to our songs in live performances. This makes it interesting but also enhances some aspects of the set!
