Behind The Artwork: Voidhaven - Voidhaven (2018)

Since the EP is our first release, it is also the introduction of the band and what style you can expect from us. That’s why we decided to label it self-titled and let the artwork be a reference to the band’s name, too. The design was completely made by our bass player Jakob and his main intention was to create one possible visualization of what a Voidhaven might look like. Not only do we think he did a great job at that, but moreover the vibe of the artwork complements the music and lyrics in a fitting way. For example, as mentioned above, there is common ground between the intention behind the band’s name and the lyrics of “Beyond The Bounds Of Sleep”. Another reference could be the title and text- content of “The Floating Grave” and the dark waters in the artwork.
