In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Melodic Hardcore band Hunter Alive from USA. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our name actually comes from our guitarist, Patrick's dog. Pat had some personal issues he was going through and claims Hunter (the dog) is the reason for keeping him positive and giving him purpose.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Each of us have our own reasons, but mainly we can all agree there is a special energy/release in playing any type of heavy/fast/aggressive music, particularly live, that is not a part of playing other types of music. We all love performing live, and that is a huge part of it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes and no. Both Matt (drums) and Zach (bass) had spent some time in a band together prior to helping form Hunter Alive. Patrick (guitar) had been searching for members when he had met Matt and over the course of a year the band was formed and finalized when Jake (vocals) joined in June of 2017.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Patrick: AFI
Zach: Dillinger Escape Plan
Matt: Dance Gavin Dance
Jake: Counterparts

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life events, personal struggles, the enjoyment we get from jamming together... pizza. Overall we all individually really enjoy playing music, and we want to share what we have to offer and hope that other people like what we do.

6. Where was your last gig?

Scranton Pennsylvania with the Electric City Music Conference

7. Where would you like to act?

We definitely want to take this on the road and travel as much and as far as possible. Being a successful international band would be a dream come true.

8. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

For Patrick he can't perform on stage solo, he has to be with his band to be completely comfortable. Best advice he can give would be to just do it and do the best you can! It's one of the most amazing feelings.

9. What bands have inspired you the most?

We have so many different backgrounds and tastes in music we're inspired by artist like Dillinger Escape Plan, Periphery, AFI, Agust Burns Red, Comeback Kid, System of a Down, The Devil Wears Prada, NOFX just to name a few.

10. What do you think of your fans?

They're awesome! We have a growing amount of support for being a newer band. We've played with some bands that are definitely heavier than us, and we've played some shows where we were the heaviest band on the bill, but in pretty much both settings we've had a lot of really incredible responses from people, and that makes us feel great about what we're doing.

11. What do you think of our site?

It's a great site for sure. We wish there were more like it. Anything to help music and musicians grow in this industry is huge. Nothing but respect!
