Interviews: NIGHT CROWNED

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band NIGHT CROWNED from Sweden. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

Henric: When We started the band I wanted something that fitted with the Dark, melancholic sound we got. To be chosen, or crowned by the night was something that just came to me when I started to write the first lyrics and it came naturally that we choose that name, as it fits us perfectly. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

Henric: I grew up when the melodic death and black metal flourished in the early 90’s. So for me this is not something new, it is me. So when I sit down to write music, it comes naturally. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Henric: As I hand picked them all, so the band is only friends. We have known each other for up to 20 years. Except our singer that we had to get to know. He lives 5 hours drive away from the rest of us, but He turned out to be a really genuine guy, so we became friends really quick.

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Ken: We all got different taste but some bands that we like is Edge Of Sanity, Dissection, Black Tongue, Behemoth

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Henric: I can listen to almost anything to get inspired. A drum beat can inspire me more than a guitar riff, but mostly I get inspired by feelings.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Ken: Our debut shows are in the end of November & beginning of december. So we can not tell you yet how it was.

7. Where would you like to act? 

Ken: Everywhere that will have us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

Ken: Oh that is a hard one, but a few names that would be amazing to share the stage with is Septicflesh, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Dimmu Borgir,

9. Whom not?

Ken: I think there is none.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Ken: It is good to be nerves before a show cause then you performance is on top, Your mind is more sharp. So I guess the best tip I got is that try to keep it at bay & tell yourself that you are good at what you do, and you and only you are the best judge of that.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Ken: The inspiration is different how it comes to us all, For me when I write lyrics it can start with a titel or a subject but over all humanity inspires me, Their inhuman acts against on an other to the ways we are destroying ourselves.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Henric: If they can get backstage? 

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Ken: Our fans are the most patient one, Cause after the release of our first single ’’No Room For Hope’’ they have waited along time for something more. We love each and every one of them.

14. What do you think of our site?

Henric: Haven’t seen it, but I bet it’s dark, filled with meta, and then you are good in my book.
