Interviews: Black Tree Vultures
In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock/Metal band Black Tree Vultures from UK. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The name was one of a few shortlisted by myself and Aaron at the start of forming this band, we loved the way Black Tree Vultures sounded so we cemented it down!
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We are all really inspired by this kind of music, most of us being raised on it and really relating to it. It’s a release for us and we wanted to write music to inspire others how we were inspired when we were young.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Jonno and Aaron knew each other as they had jammed in previous outfits as well as Jonno and Ched but everyone else met through the medium
Of this band.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
We’re inspired by how we feel when we are listening to songs that inspire us. We want to write songs that inspire others the way that we’re inspired by others. It’s also a great release for us to express ourselves in this way which helps write songs, we’re lucky to be writing songs that all come from a real place.
6. Where was your last gig?
Bannermans - Edinburgh
7. Where would you like to play?
We would really love to play in America, it’s something that none of has have done yet but we all really want to!
8. Who would you like to support?
Shinedown, Maiden, Metallica and Sabbath.
9. Whom not?
Guns and roses, we don’t really like divas...
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Celyn suffered really bad with stage fright at the start of his career, the same advice we gave him. Which was to find the person who is most into it in the audience and focus on them and Feed of their energy.... remember your up on stage for a reason.!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Bands such as Shinedown, Metallica, Iron maiden, Black sabbath, AC/DC, Sound garden, the answer and Bob Dylan.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
The most frequent weird thing we get asked for is the towels that we wipe ourselves with at the end of the show... god knows why they want them!
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are the best in the world, the support and love we receive from them. We always interact with our fans and we always find time for them, they are the reason we have come so far in such a short time. Our fans are like our family and anyone who supports us we will always make time for and share a beer with! We are all connected through music.
14. What do you think of our site?
It’s fantastic, we do love a nice shiny website! Supporting music is great and it’s a pleasure to be able to speak to you.
