Interviews: Flèche

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Rock band Flèche from France. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Michael Szpiner (bass, backing vocals): after a 3 years long intense brainstorming we came out with this name for no reason whatsoever Mickaël

Montaroux (vocals, rhythm guitar): You can find a mix of all the name we tried in the title of our first EP…

Nicolas Rakotoary (vocals, lead guitar): If I remember correctly we had in our massive list the name Arrow or Arrows, which is the English translation for Flèche. We were okay with the idea of sounding French.

Loïc Salmon (drums): It had to be 'Blason' (blazon)! But they never wanted this name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

MS: i guess it's a mix of our digested influences

NR: Playing energetic music means we can play energetic live shows.

LS: To show my mom I could play some music without screams and growls.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

MS: i met them in the "scene"

MM: We used to be roommates with Loic and we used to drink a lot with Nicolas. I know Mitch from his famous « two gorillas » joke

NR: We all were in a big group of friends met through shows and different bands

4. Each band member favourite band?

MM: you can drink too but your gig will be a mess…

NR: Embrace the fear! Most people won't notice your wrong notes anyway.
