Interviews: Many Faced God

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metalcore/Metalcore/Progressive Metal band Many Faced God from USA. Check out the interview.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

To put it bluntly, I’m just a nerd and its influenced by Game of Thrones. I did some research on what would be a “many faced god” and it was apparent that it was influenced by Hindu deities. Which was fascinating.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Its what i really enjoy to write and I feel I have a knack for it. I enjoy the writing process and piecing different parts together in general. But I am particularly passionate about this type if music so its a no-brainer for me.

3. What are your favorite bands?

Sevendust, Tool, Periphery, Meshuggah, Mmemic, Devin Townsend, Gojira, etc. Q. Who or what inspires you to write songs? A. As cliche as it sounds, negative life experiences. I write my feelings and use my music as an outlet to give myself a peace of mind.

4. Where was your last gig?

The Haven in Orlando with a different music project.

7. Where would you like to act?

House of Blues would be a great opportunity.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Devin Townsend. Hands down.

9. Whom not?

No one in particular.

10. Have you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Of course. Being nervous to perform is natural. The best thing you can do is just be yourself and remember why you make music and why you want to entertain your audience. Its uncomfortable at first but it does become easier.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands like Tool, Opeth, Karnivool, etc. Everything they do is perfect.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

For me to do a metal cover of the “it’s a small world” theme....

13. What do you think of your fans?

Very appreciative of them. I can’t do what I love without them.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think your site provides a great opportunity for up and coming artists.
