Behind The Artworks: The Gallery - Pesticide (Single) (2019)

We spoke to rising UK indie punks, THE GALLERY who come at you from Wakefield with their own blend of Alternative Rock peppered with post-punk nihilism and a slew of razor-sharp hooks. The raucous young upstarts have just released their blistering new single, Pesticide, out now via Animal Farm. Watch the video for the track, here - https://youtu.be/SqS7dI6JS5k .

We asked the guys about who designed the artwork for the single: "The artwork for this track was taken by a very talented photographer called Tom Arnold. We discovered his work in Instagram and were drawn in and how real yet painfully macabre he could make his natural shots look. Check out his great work on instagram @tomarnoldphoto

And what does the cover artwork represent? "We chose this artwork because we wanted to completely contrast the contrived and extremely dull 'industrial' image that most bands coming through the ranks seem to portray. This doesn't represent the real Britain we know. We like how the photo oozes beautiful scenery but in the most excruciatingly dull and lifeless manner; much like the Britain we grew up in. The artwork is a photograph taken in Maerdy in South Wales at the site of an Old Colliery."
