Interviews: QUEASY

In this new occassion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock band QUEASY from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

We were at a party and one of us (who shall remain nameless!) had partied a little too hard, anyway they said they were feeling a bit queasy.  The name stuck after that. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

The musical influences in our formative years were eclectic, our opinion is that good music is good music, hopefully people feel this approach from us when listening to our tunes.  

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Jack (vocals) and Kane (drums) met at primary school and have been friend's since the age of 4.   Jack met Solly (guitar) and Alex (bass) while studying music at  university in Manchester. 

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Solly -  Red Hot Chilli Peppers 

Jack - Radiohead 

Kane - System of a Down 

Alex -  Fat Freddy's Drop

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

For us as a band the creative process is central to who we are as human beings.  With that in mind, the subject matter and its musical approach could be political, heartfelt, or anything else for that matter.  So long as we think we have something important or relevant to shout about, we'll create something for it.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Our last gig was at The Eagle Inn, Salford.   Our next gig is at Jimmy's in Manchester on 29/03/19!

7. Where would you like to act? 

We've always wanted to perform in the USA, to support a band in somewhere like California would be a dream come true!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Rage against the Machine, Red Hot Chilli Peppers. 

 

9. Whom not? 

R Kelly.  Enough said.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Jack used to suffer from stage fright. The only tip that's worthwhile is to just keep doing it! Over time, you'll gain confidence and before you know it, stage fright is a thing of the past!

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rage Against the Machine Pearl Jam, System of a Down, Radiohead

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

 A couple of things spring to mind, but we're not sure you could print them!  I suppose when the drummer shaved his hair off and we got a message from a fan asking to keep the hair clippings, yeah that was pretty weird. 

13. What do you think of your fans? 

of course we love them, but we prefer to think of ourselves as a community, and the people that listen to our music, come to our gigs, or buy our merchandise,  are part of that community with us.

14. What do you think of our site?

We think it's fantastic. A  great aesthetic, with access to different genres for an international audience!  

15. Something add?
