Interviews: TV Coma

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Punk band TV Coma from UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

The TV COMA band name is from a when Jamie was doing a little dance with his shirt open in front of the TV, and then he started getting really tired and started falling all the way down onto the floor and he dropped all the wine all over the white carpet, haha it was so funny. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

TV COMA want to play every genre, but mainly they wanted to impress everybody with their haircuts and wet jeans, freshly wetted from the spray that they cant help but let out all over everything. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We knew each other 10 years ago in our brains and in real life. Now we all just get in the room together and all tickle each other until we all laugh so much and it is so funny and good. 

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Leo: Jethro Tull 

Jamie: Coldplay

Laurie: Nickelback

Max: U2 (especially The Edge) 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

TV COMA are big fans of Joseph Beuys because he made stuff out of fat like chairs and batteries. We also like Ken Dodd because he used to jump around and tickle things and in our spare time we really like to tickle each other all together as friends.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at the Roadship and Workshop, it was such cool gig, an especially cool band we played with were called Werecats. We’re big fans. 

7. Where would you like to play? 

Glastonbury headliner in 2019, if we don’t get that gig, then were gonna go for a second dream of becoming wrestlers and then try to headline Wrestlemania in April, which is before when Glastonbury happens. 

8. Who would you like to support?

The Beatles, because we think they have some really good songs, and they’re really interesting characters and really fun and great performers. 

9. Who not? 

We don’t want to support Fozzie Bear, TV COMA are now cutting all ties with Fozzie Bear because even though he is really sick and cool, he said some nasty things about us on twitter so we’re no longer fans.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We are sometimes afraid on stage and we all start shaking loads and nobody talks but then the shaking get’s so much that we just start dancing and Jamie swings his hips in such a cool way that we all get inspired, and everyone watches and everyone is AMAZED. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Mainly the Muppets, specifically Fozzie Bear, he is so funny and cool. We’re also huge fans of international superstar Crazy Frog, he has had so much longevity and we are all so happy for where he is now. 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A fan once asked me if I could ‘live inside the bowl’. I didn’t know what they meant but we tried it out and it was actually really good advice. 

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are like, totally, the coolest man, like we love when they ask us to ‘live inside the bowl’. Also as fans of other things we can really relate to them.

14. What do you think of our site?

We think it’s really slick and cool and much better than our site.

TV COMA have loads of lumps and they don’t know what to do, TV COMA are just like you.
