Behind The Artworks: Ancient Altar - Cosmic Purge/Foie Grass (2019)

The cover art was an idea that I had come up with when we decided to use these two songs for our EP. Both songs deal with a type of “singularity”, and I really wanted the cover to reflect that. The image itself represents the creation of the Universe, while at the same time reflecting the idea of AI always watching us in the “eye”.

This piece is especially personal to me because I was able to collaborate with my daughter Haylee, who is an amazingly talented painter. I drew the art out on a 24x24 canvas and she did the rest. She absolutely blew us away with the final piece, and we’re really excited for people to hold the record in their hands and be able to check out all the little details in the cover art.
