Interviews: Reign Of Z

In this new occassion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Alternative Metal band Reign Of Z from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

When zosia traveled to la to go by her name but she did not feel comfortable with that because a band should be a collaborative effort. One day at her house Berg made a joke because her mother said we should name the band after her dog reign and he cracked the joke we should call the band reign of z. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

To us it is the only genre that makes sense to all of us. It captures the raw emotions and allows artistic freedom to explore the darkest thoughts of ones mind.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Nick, Stephen Lords, and Stephen Berg have been playing music together for over 15 years in various bands around the area. Zosia had a vision of this band and reached out to the three of us. Zach was introduced to us and the rest is history.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Zach: Breaking Benjamin 

Zosia: Evanescence

Steven: Silverchair

Nick: ICP (yes he’s a juggalo)

Berg: Every time I Die

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Drawing from everyday life and the experiences that inspire us to express ourselves through our music. 

6. Where was your last gig?

The fish head cantina in Baltimore md

7. Where would you like to act?

Europe

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Butcher babies, in this moment, sevendust.

9. Whom not?

We will play anywhere with anyone

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We’ve all had that moment walking into a big performance. The best tip we could offer beginners is to know that all the time and work you put in to have the opportunity to play in front of a crowd. Own the moment and carry yourself with the confidence that you are there to do what you love.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We all have been fortunate enough to grow up in families that appreciate music. It is very hard to say that one band has truly shaped our inspiration to create the music we do today.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

People have offered to purchase zosia hair extensions, stage-wear, and underwear.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans and look forward to making more throughout our journey. 

14. What do you think of our site?

Very professional and vivid. The coverage of all genres is very informative and great way to discover new music.
