Interviews: Worldwide Panic

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Worldwide Panic from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

I came up with it in high school. 911 and the Iraq war were still fresh in people’s mind and the band name spoke to the current state of affairs in the world over. Still, the name is relevant today strangely as the circumstances with the world today. 

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The genre we play is undefined. We are not traditional metal nor are we traditional rock. So we’re somewhere in the middle. Music that has a message and that is powerful, to the point and is loud excites me so that’s what I play.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Vaguely. We knew of each other but the bond was formed around the music.

4. What're your favorite bands?

Slayer Pantera Rammstein Kiss Strapping Young Lad

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Real life experiences.

6. Where was your last gig?

Skinny’s Lounge in North Hollywood

7. Where would you like to act? 

Act? I don’t do much acting anymore I used to but music is the focus right now. 

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Metallica Ozzy Rammstein Something massive would be nice.

9. Whom not?

We are not in a position to be picky and choosey give us a stage and a crowd and we’re good for the most part. 

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I have not personally. I would suggest focusing on an inanimate object in the crowd may it be a light or an exit sign and not focus on the people and play towards that object if that is something someone is going through. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The favorite bands I mentioned above. Also Howard Stern, David Lynch, Devin Townsend to name a few people 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing really because not much weirds is out. We smell our fans armpits for fun and make them drink beer off the ground and stuff like that we are the ones who ask our fans to do weird stuff. However, as much as we like to have fun and be weird we do not sign women’s breast or parts we are not about that kind of stuff in WP we are respectful of women and we don’t want to perpetuate negative stereotypes or alienate women in any way shape or form.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I think they are great. Extremely loyal, really love the message and music.
