Interviews: SeaWolves

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Deathcore/Death Metal band SeaWolves from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Just came out really, didn’t want to get too caught up in the name. Just something memorable and that we thought sounded cool! 

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We have all played in heavy bands in the past and massively into heavy music. Some of those bands we played in together and as they disbanded we formed. We were only ever gonna be a heavy metal band!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yeah, we all did. A few of us went to school and college together and others meet through playing in bands around the Colchester/London area. 

4. Each band member favorite band?

Chris: Whitechapel.

Phill: Oceano.

Seann: Deftones.

Mike: Sylosis.

Louis: Black Sabbath

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The enjoyment of writing is a massive part. Heavy with grooves and beatdowns, basically what we want to hear and see live.

6. Where was your last gig?

The Unicorn in Camden, London.

7. Where would you like to act?

The usual answer, anywhere! If there’s a crowd that’s game for some beatdowns and blast beats we’ll be up for playing, but if we had to pick one venue we’d have to go with The Underworld, Camden. Seen loads of our favorite bands there and would be awesome to play on the same stage as them. 

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There’s so many!! Dream shows would be bands like Molotov Solution, The Acacia Strain, Whitechapel, Slayer, The Faceless, etc 

9. Whom not?

I guess anyone who isn’t gonna share the same fan base. Nothing against anyone, but don’t think we’d go down well at a U2 concert!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We all get nervous sometimes. It’s a strange one, we can play a big show to loads of people and be fine, then play a small show to the other bands on the bill and their girlfriends and feel nerves. Beer is always a good calmer. The best advice is to remember why you’re there. It’s what you love doing and what you’ve put effort into to get to the stage. So enjoy it while you are there. If that doesn’t work then drink!!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Any heavy bands you can nod your head to. Grooves, beatdowns, gutturals, and blast beats, any combination of them and we are interested!!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing out of the ordinary, unfortunately for this question. One more song chant is always a good one! I

13. What do you think of your fans?

Best people in the world! We appreciate massively everyone who shows up and watches us play. They make it more than just a show to us.
