Interviews: Bad Blood

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Rock band  Bad Blood from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Chris Iorio: I remember one day Chris (Clemence) texted me the name and I instantly loved it. It’s catchy and the meaning resonates with us as a band.

Kenny Borill: Chris (Clemence) came up with the name it stems from past bullshit we had to deal with.

Chris Clemence: The band name stemmed out of working with people in our past that were manipulative, greedy... just people you wouldn’t want to associate with. We had all been in those situations previously and had that common ground and it’s what brought us together. I think when you’ve all been through some shit you have an appreciation for that and it makes you stronger as a group.

Chad Cherry: I think just about everyone on this planet has had beef with somebody. Plus Bad Blood looks really strong when it’s spelled out.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Chris Clemence: It wasn’t really a conscious choice like “I want to play rock”. It’s just the sound we have and what we write naturally.

Chris Iorio: I fell in love with rock n roll and never looked back. It’s who we are.

Chad Cherry: Hard rock-n-roll is what we do.

Kenny Borill: It’s in our blood rock n roll heavy riffs just come naturally to us

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Chris Iorio: I knew Chris from our time in Adelitas Way, But didn’t know Chad or Kenny yet. I knew of Chad previously from his work with the Last Vegas.

Chris Clemence: As Chris said, I had known Chris (Iorio) from us being in Adelita’s Way together, and had known Kenny (Borill) from the music scene in LA. I knew of Chad from his previous band The Last Vegas. Once I met Chad (Cherry) in person though, I knew I had to have him sing in a band with me.

Chad Cherry: I definitely knew about everyone before we started this but obviously some kinda comics shit brought us all together for the reason to create this music.

Kenny Borill: I met Chris (Iorio) through working with Chris (Clemence) and we hit it off right on the spot Chad (Cherry) I’ve know for a while he has always been one of my favorite singers and Chris (Clemence) I’ve known for years I played in the early RapScallions years ago for a short time.

4. Each band member’s favorite band?

Chris Clemence: Bad Blood

Kenny Borill: Bad Blood baby!

Chad Cherry: Riverbottom Nightmare Band

Chris Iorio: Stone Temple Pilots

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Chris Clemence: Universal truths. Emotions, experiences we all face and things that unite everyone.

Chad Cherry: Horror movies, Sci-Fi movies, dark art and the wicked ways the world turns.

Chris Iorio: Lots of things do, but I would say my best work comes when I’m going through some kind of adversity in life. I take those emotions and feelings and channel them into the song.

Kenny Borill: Current events and emotions and feels I go through. I use these as inspiration.

6. Where was your last gig?

Chris Iorio: July 5th at the Joint in Las Vegas opening for Godsmack

Chad Cherry: Last Saturday in Pasadena, CA.

Kenny Borill: Last project I got to tour opening nationally for the almighty Steel Panther.

Kenny Borill: I have done some acting Worked with Jason Momoa (Aquaman Game of Thrones) and have Executive produced a television show on Paramount Network and continue to run a YouTube channel Kenny Dale Thrift Adventures.

Chris Iorio: I’ve always wanted to have cameos or a small part on some of my favorite shows to watch. I still hope to make it as a “walker” someday on The Walking Dead.

Chris Clemence: Would be cool to do some more movie stuff. Bad Blood could make a cameo appearance haha.

Chad Cherry: I act up everywhere I go.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Chris Iorio: There’s a bunch to choose from for me, but I would say Dave Grohl has to be somewhere at the top of that list.

Kenny Borill: I would work with anyone that shares my drive and is a great song writer.

Chris Clemence: I’ve been lucky to work with some of my heroes, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), DH Peligro (Dead Kennedys), Harley Flanagan (Cro Mags), and a bunch more. I’m down to work with anyone who has something real to say and wants to create an awesome powerful song.

Chad Cherry: Just like Chris (Clemence) I’ve been able to work with some of my hero’s including Nikki Sixx. Right now, I just wanna keep working on Bad Blood stuff and see how insane we can make some new music.

9. Whom not?

Chris Clemence: Performers who can’t write their own songs.

Kenny Borill: What Chris said.

Chad Cherry: Egomaniacs, get out.

Chris Iorio: People with bad attitudes that follow their own agendas

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Chris Iorio: it was worse when I was younger, but sometimes I still get nervous to this day. I like it because it keeps you on your toes. My advice would just keep playing shows to build your confidence. It gets easier the more you do it.

Chris Clemence: That’s what whisky is for.

Kenny Borill: Jaeger bomb does the trick!

Chad Cherry: I think it’s good to be nervous. It means you’re out of any kind of safe zone which leads to experiences that you can craft for yourself.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Chris Clemence: lots of old school punk, their energy, and lots of mainstream rock and pop for the catchy choruses.

Chad Cherry: Lots of bands! Punk Rock, Classic Rock, Synthwave, Electronic, Industrial, The Blues, ROCK-N-ROLL!

Chris Iorio: too many bands to list! But I love everything from The Doors and Led Zeppelin to System of a Down and Breaking Benjamin. There’s something I love about every era of rock, from classic to current.

Kenny Borill: I’m a fan of music. Country, Rap, Rock… anything I find that connects with me.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Chris Iorio: there’s been some weird stuff for me over the years, but one time this lady wanted me to sign her baby.

Chris Clemence: To autograph their skin to get tattooed. You want to make your signature look nice as possible for them but that’s kind of hard after a few beers backstage.

Chad Cherry: So much weird stuff has been asked. Off hand, I was once asked to be imprisoned in someone’s basement. The person wasn’t kidding.

Kenny Borill: No comment hahaha!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Chris Iorio: They absolutely rock! The positive feedback that we have received on this already has been amazing. Thank you guys!

Chris Clemence: They are everything and I’m so thankful they love the music we create and allow us to do what we do. It’s all for them and I love them. Thank you guys for the support!

Chad Cherry: The fans are absolutely everything. The reason. Everything.

Kenny Borill: Love them they are everything.

14. What do you think of our site?

Chris Clemence: It rocks!

Chad Cherry: It’s ace!

Chris Iorio: it’s badass!

Kenny Borill: It rules!!! Thank you for your time!

15. Something you'd like to add?

Chris Iorio: Bad Blood’s album drops on July 26th! Also, never stop fighting for your dreams and never let anybody take it from you. You are the author of your own story.

Chris Clemence: Yes! As Chris said, new record drops on July 26th but you can pre-order it now. We’ve partnered with an amazing new music app Vezt that will allow our fans to share ownership in our songs. They’ll be able to make royalties and get paid every time the songs are played, licensed, streamed, performed, etc. The more everyone listens and promotes Bad Blood, the more money everyone makes. It’s truly revolutionary and a game changer for the music business. Download the app on the App Store or Google Play and get a share of our first single “Drug That I Need” starting July 26!

Chad Cherry: Keep up the good fight!
