Behind The Tracks: City State - White Lies (Single) (2019)

“White Lies” is a song about someone who pretends to be something they’re not and ends up hurting themselves and others in the process.

Instrumentally, it’s different from the other songs on the record in that it doesn’t have a chorus, but relies on a big moment towards the middle of the song to carry its momentum. The goal of the song during the writing process was to create a song that would be a hard hitting staple of our live set.
