Interviews: Pushing Veronica

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Pushing Veronica from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Oli: If you met Veronica, this is what you’d come up with too.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Julien: We didn’t choose the ballpit life, the ballpit life chose us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Oil: We all met in preschool, other than Brady who hasn’t been born yet.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Julien: Queens of the Stone Age

Noah: half·alive

Brady: Slipknot

Oli: Radiohead

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Oli: As high schoolers, everything we think we know is constantly changing. We can’t get attached, because the second we feel like we understand the world, it pisses on us. These songs are our ways of trying to understand the world a theme at a time.

6. Where was your last gig?

Oli: Byblos Meditteranean Restaurant and Hookah Lounge…

Julien: Take that, bitch.

7. Where would you like to act?

Oli: On Broadway.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Julien: Betty White.

9. Whom not?

Julien: Oprah.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Julien: No, not to sound like cocky motherfuckers but we were born to be on that stage. If you have stage fright give up.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Julien: IDLES inspires me because of their raw energy, and Bowen’s amazing mustache #goals.

Oli: PUP inspires me because they pour their hearts and souls into everything they do, and their passion is electrifying.

Brady: Smash Mouth because of “All Star.”

Noah: Twenty One Pilots inspires me because of their ability to master every different genre and experiment.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Julien: A portion of our stash of Robert Downey Jr.’s hair. 13. What do you think of your fans?

Oli: Our fans are the most passionate, interesting, unique people we’ve ever met in our lives. They all march to their own drums, and we’re so happy they’re immune to the apathetic bullshit of the world.

14. What do you think of our site?

Oil: Your site is so good, we printed it out and are building a shrine to it. There’s so much amazing music you represent.
